President Uhuru Kenyatta has urged Cord leader Raila Odinga to retire from politics.
The President told the opposition leader that the government will take care of him if he quits.
"If he (Raila) quits today we will take care of him and always respect him," he said on Monday.
The President was speaking in Mukurweini in Nyeri County during his two--day tour of central Kenya.
Earlier, President Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto had accused Mr Odinga of trying to fan voter apathy in central Kenya by using the media to discredit Jubilee.
He said Mr Odinga is a serial liar and urged Jubilee supporters to take his words "with a pinch of salt".
