Kenya's National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga said that he will be seen as a flower girl by Jubilee if he participates in Thursday's election rerun. Odinga said that Jubilee has since formulated ways of stealing the election that is is why he calling on all Kenyans to boycott the exercise. "I still insist that I am not going to participate in an already flawed exercise. If I do so then Jubilee will see me as a flower girl," Odinga said. He said that he has no option other than to boycott the repeat polls because IEBC had failed to meet their demands. Odinga was addressing a mammoth of supporters at the Gusii Stadium where he urged them to stay away from polling stations. The ODM party leader said that it was a clear testimony from the electoral body chairman Wafula Chebukati and Commissioner Roselyn Akombe who has since resigned that the commission is not prepared to conduct a credible election. "I am categorically stating that there will be no election of Thursday. I am urging you to stay away from polling stations," Odinga said. Accompanying Raila were two co-principals Moses Wetangula, Moses Wetangula, Governors James Ongwae (Kisii), John Nyagarama(Nyamira), Okoth Obado, senators James Orengo(Siaya), Okong'o Omogeni (Nyamira) and Sam Ongeri (Kisii). Others were Women reps Janet Ong'era (Kisii), Esther Passaris(Nairobi) and several MPs from and outside Kisii. "The Commission is divided that is why commissioner Akombe resigned. The chairman himself Chebukati has since given a testimony that they body is unable to conduct a free and fair election," said NASA leader. He called for the arrests and prosecution of CEO Ezra Chiloba, commissioners and Presiding officers who played a role in the bungled elections. Odinga said that their efforts to demand for the relocation of the main server used in the August polls from France to Kenya have been ignored by the Commission. Addressing the crowd from Germany through phone, Odinga's running mate Kalonzo Musyoka thanked Kisii and Nyamira for voting for them in large numbers but the same was stolen by Jubilee. Kisii said that he was happy that residents from both counties have accepted to join the rest across the country in boycotting the flawed exercise. He said that Justice Maraga and Commissioner are heroes because of their decisions of nullifying presidential election and resigning respectively. Mudavadi said that the Chiloba and the commissioners who were mentioned in polls scandal should have resigned immediately the Supreme Court annulled President Kenyatta’s victory to guarantee a free and fair rerun. He said that Jubilee Government is derailing devolution by delaying to release development funds. "I wonder where Jubilee government gets money to teargas and guns to kill innocent Kenyans but no money for devolved units," Mudavadi said. Wetangula told Kenyatta not to pretend to seat like a naked king when things are going wrong. He also supported Mudavadi’s sentiment that Akombe was a great women because she exposed the rottenness of the Commission. During the rally Kisii declaration was made by local leaders that no reforms no elections. | |||||||||
