Popularly known as Njoki Wa Ndegwa, a Kenyan Diaspora radio presenter passed away on Friday after a four year battle with breast cancer.
The late Njoki, who started her career as a radio journalist as a presenter at Kameme FM back in the motherland passed away peacefully in Dallas Texas where she had just recently moved to establish the Jambo Radio Network after the breakup of Jambo Radio Boston she helped establish together with former partners in Lowell near Boston.
According to close friends and social media announcements, Njoki was a mother of four at the time of her death. Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral planning at the home of Jane Muhia, located at C3209 Galaxie Rd, Garland Texas 75044 starting 6pm. A Boston memorial in her honor was held yesterday at the Ushindi church in Lowell where about $20,000 was reportedly raised towards funeral expenses. A Dallas memorial planned to take place on Saturday February 24 at the Upendo Baptist church, 916 N. Jupiter Rd, Garland, Texas starting 3pm. May her soul RIP till we meet again | |||||||||
