10 Kenyan MPs to attend the Boston Kenyan Festival tomorrow

BOSTON--- About 10 Kenyan members of Parliament will be attending the Boston Kenyan Festival slated for tomorrow Sunday, April 19 at the Lowell Lodge of Elks starting 2pm.

According to sources privacy to the matter, the lawmakers are excited that Kenyans have now initiated a very important cultural festival in a foreign land and will therefore join Ambassador Robinson Githae and other Kenyans at celebrating the milestone that is in its second year running.

Among the MPs who have confirmed their presence are:  Hon Agostino Neto (Ndhiwa), Hon. Victor Munyaka (Machakos), Hon. Dan Wanyama (Webuye), Hon. Ursula Ng'eny (Uasin Gishu), Hon. Paul Otuoma ( Funyula). Several others have expressed desire to attend but have not yet confirmed as they work on their schedules.

After the festival, the lawmakers will join the sports world to cheer Kenyan runners at the Boston marathon finish line on Monday which is also Patriots day, a public holiday  in the state of Massachusetts.

In addition to the members of parliament, Jamaica based Kenyan Reggae artiste, Karizman Kariz will be flying in from Kingston to attend the festival.

Karizman was among the first artistes to volunteer to perform at the inaugural Boston Kenyan festival last year at the Sheraton Boston Hotel.

Note : Extended advance sale for tickets to the cultural festival that includes food and entertainment are still selling at $25 per adult.

Cheaper advance ticket sales end today at 5pm Eastern Standard Time.

Kenyans interested in attending the unique event are urged to purchase the advance tickets in order to avoid inconveniences of paying at the door at a higher price of $40 and $20 respectively in order to enable organizers do a better job.
