BOSTON--A company linking Kenyans in the Diaspora and prime investment properties has arrived in Boston to meet with potential investors at the Boston Kenyan Festival in Lowell.

Owned by a former Kenyan Diaspora member who has since relocated back home, in conjunction with  two other partners, the company, known as Diaspora Properties Link Kenya  Ltd (DPL) boasts of strong links with major investment companies in Kenya as well as bank financiers who have easier lending conditions.

"Our mission is to make the process of buying a property for any Kenyan in the Diaspora an easy, convenient, transparent and confidential to avoid disappointments and losses. As a Kenyan who lived in the Diaspora for over 10 years, I know firsthand of the hardships involved, and so we put together a great solution through this company with other partners," said Edward Wanjohi, the company CEO during an interview with Ajabu Africa.

Among the banks that the company is working with include Family Bank and Gulf African Bank, although customers who may prefer other banks are not turned away.

He said that the company offers properties to anyone in the range of KES 100,000 to 30millon (exchange rate of about $90) so that all can find a spot to fit in.

He added that his company does not take cash payments from clients but rather links them with the banks and property sellers as a way to avoid unnecessary loss of funds.

"The good thing is, the banks will finance 70 to 80% of all loans you qualify for."

In addition to investment properties such as plots and fully built apartments, Wanjohi said that his company offers car rental services and a cheap life insurance cover through Jubilee insurance company for Kenyans in the Diaspora that helps when they lose a loved one.

He added that Diaspora Link Properties also links Kenyans with cheap and highly affordable health insurance in Kenya for Kenyans abroad who have been forced to keep sending large sums of money to help ailing relatives in the era of large hospital bills.

"This health insurance will take the burden off your back from constantly sending money to pay hospital bills. People should contact us to get the information about it for their own benefit," he said.

Wanjohi, who landed in Boston from Dallas for the Boston Kenyan festival said that his company has a network of agents across many states in the US to make it easy for interested customers to apply for any product of interest once they review them on the company's new website, http://www.diasporapropertylinkkenya.com/.

H
e said that he was looking forward to meeting with Kenyans in Boston during the cultural festival to be held today in Lowell and tomorrow after the Boston marathon.

"I came here to support Kenyans in Boston during this unique event and have a chance to inform people about our products," added the father of two whose family still resides in Kansas City.

The businessman also said he can be reached on the phone at 785-969-2807 to answer any questions people might have, and will be taking questions at the Boston Kenyan festival later today.
