The New England Patriots are champions again! Yes, you read it right! The National Football League's most successful organization in recent memory hoisted the Vince Lombardi trophy after defeating the Los Angeles Rams by a score of 13 to 3. This was in a game where they were considered underdogs, or, worse, not even expected to feature in after a sluggish start to their regular season, followed by a less than stellar performance in road games.

It is arguably one of the sweetest wins for the aging New England quarterback. Tom Brady  at 41 becomes the oldest quarterback to win a super bowl, eclipsing his former arch rival, Peyton Manning who won at the age of 39 while playing for the Denver Broncos.

The win also cements the legacies of Tom Brady and Coach Bill Belichick who have together made 9 Super bowl appearances and now take home the Vince Lombardi Trophy for the 6th time. It also brings Tom Brady's career full circle, who won his first super bowl with the Patriots by defeating the then Saint Louis Rams at Super Bowl XXXVI played at the Louisiana Superdome on February 3 2002.
