Updated Story.......... Eldrick Tiger Woods, is a champion again after capturing his fifteenth major title by winning the Masters tournament in dramatic fashion completing a remarkable comeback from injury and his fall from grace ochestrated by a bizzare motor vehicle accident some 10 years ago. It was a special moment for golf enthusiasts and those who have followed TIger Woods for the human interest story alike as he made history for the game of golf on this surreal Sunday ! As the third round of the 2019 Masters golf tournament came to a close saturday, one thing was clear---the top of the leaderboard was laden with potential and former champions. Among these stars is former number one,Tiger Woods who can never be counted out in any tournament anywhere, anytime. The prestigious Major tournament reached its fourth and final round on Sunday May 14th 2019 and with Tiger Woods tied at 2nd with a score of 11 under par it is was very exciting to anticipate what the final round has in store for golf enthusiasts and fair weather fans alike. The current leader, Francesco Molinari who had a rather cinderella run to the top of the game's upper echelons, had proved that he is a force to be reckoned with especially after taking top honors at last year's British Open as well as being ranked 7th in the World. Sunday's action at the hallowed grounds of Augusta National Golf Course provided an opportunity for Tiger Woods to reclaim his dimmed glory a decade after a bizarre vehicle accident culminated in a slippery slope fall from grace. With several surgeries and captivating but not so endearing tabloid headlines behind him, including reports of a new girlfriend, Tiger Woods seems to have regained his footing. Having been in contention in the last two major tournaments, the Masters tournament provided him yet another opportunity to come full circle and recoup his cultural status! He thus went on the prowl at Augusta's pristine grounds...Go get them Tiger!........... And he did get them, Tiger's win is his 5th Masters title, one behind golf legend Jack Nicklaus who has 6. He also adds a 15th major title to his storied career and inches closer to Niclaus' 18 and with his regained momentum and good health, it appears that it is only a matter of time before he cruises past Nicklaus. | |||||||||
