The funeral arrangements for Conrad Natse, the 36-year-old Kenyan recently found dead on his bed in Brookline, Mass., have made significant progress. His father, Mzee Hesbon Natse, will land in Boston tomorrow, April 26, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. via British Airways from Kenya.

Alex Inyagwa, the chair of the funeral committee, is making passionate appeals to the Kenyan community in Greater Boston to come out in great numbers for the fundraiser slated for this Saturday, April 27th.

"It is a crying shame that we are still short of the funds needed to lay our brother to rest!" implored Alex. "But even more importantly is to give the Mzee moral support at this most trying time for the family."

Conrad's mother, Jane Ijaya Makani, had fervently hoped to accompany her husband, but the U.S. embassy in Nairobi did not grant her a visa. Conrad's friends and relatives are therefore urging all Greater Boston Kenyans to come out to show their solidarity with the Mzee.

"Even if you bring only 20 dollars," emphasized Alex, "it will go a long way to show our brothers and sisters here, who are so far from home, that we Kenyans stand together when one of us is in need. If we get about 100 people there, and each contributes only 20 bucks, that will be a good two thousand, enough to offset the air ticket for our beloved Mzee!"

Alex's impassioned plea echoed the recent study by Rev. Dr. Joseph Kimatu, which showed how devastating death far away from home is.

"I am calling to all our pastors in the Kenyan Diaspora community to use this rare opportunity to actualize the recommendations in Dr. Kimatu's book!" Alex said.

For those unable to attend in person, concluded Alex, they can send their donation via CashApp, or with a friend who manages to come.

The April 27 fundraiser is scheduled to last between 4:30 and 6:00 p.m., for only an hour and a half!
