LOWELL, Mass.,__Rekowned Kenyan folk Musician popularly known as Musaimo Wa Njeri accompanied by fast rising songstress Mqueen aka Mkenya are is set to thrill Kenyans in the Boston region this Thursday July 4th at the Mill City Barbecue joint (formerly Train View Place) on 1018 Gorham street in Lowell as guests look to celebrate the USA Independence day 2019 in style.

According to the organizers led by Chomba Muriithi, a new Kenyan goat meat entrepreneur in Lowell in partnership with DJ Jonny Oz and Dj Creecha. The event will kick off at 3pm and run into the night as guests enjoy juicy goat meat and refreshments as the most highly demanded traditional Kenyan cuisine.

"We want to give Kenyans in the area a great and unique Fourth of July experience. Since Musaimo was in town for a show last weekend that did not last long, many Kenyans requested to invite him for another show at a venue where we can enjoy a good Fourth of July barbecue as well," Muriithi told Ajabu Africa News during a phone interview.

He said that tickets to the event are going at $25 per person. While goat meat and Ugali dinner will be on sale, wiling fans will have a choice of other dinner items and refreshments to choose.

Musaimo, is a long time, highly sought Kikuyu pop music performer with over four decades worth of experience on the entertainment scene.

He is well known for such hit songs as "Jemima Murata", "Marioni" and "Cai wa Fourteeen".


Last Saturday, while backed up by local diaspora musician, Mukarara Les Les of Worcester, Musaimo entertained Kenyans at the Stonehenge hall in Tyngsboro well into the midnight only to be cut short by authorities following disruptions by several rowdy fans right outside the main hall.

"The experience left many fans wanting for more," added Chomba while urging fans to be in their best behavior to ensure a quality Independence Day celebrations free of interference from law enforcement.

"We don't want our celebrations to be cut short for any unnecessary misbehavior. We will start early at 3.30pm so that we can accomodate as many as possible according to their difference schedules. We welcome fans from everywhere and urge them to maintain peace."
