LOWELL, MA--Barely two years after her highly successful Faces of Love Movie Premier in Woburn, MA, Monica Swaida, a Nigerian songstress actress and entrepreneur in Lowell has released a new, highly entertaining Afrobeat music video titled Palava Dey(Nigerian Pidgin English for Chaos Day).

The video hit the airwaves for the first time last night at midnight, with an extremely high demand in Radio and TV stations across her home country of Nigeria.

Speaking to Ajabu Africa News from her home in Westford, MA, Swaida said that Palava Dey is a dedication Africans who are dissatisfied with all the multiple problems afflicting their home lands due to poor leadership- delivered via a mix of politics, culture and religion commentaries.

The video is part of her new CD that features Afrobeat, Reggae, Highlife, Gospel and Naija beats and ballads hits that will resonate well with Africans both in the motherland and the Diaspora, Haitians, Jamaicans as well as other lovers of African cultural entertainment.

The video is edited and directed by Robert Peters, the Atlanta based director who directed Monica's hit movie, Faces of Love.

It contains outstanding images of the African culture and popular music legends including the late Fela Kuti, of the great and world renowned Afrobeat and Jazz musicians to ever break out from the African continent.

As opposed to mainstream entertainers I USA, Monica has recently come across as an ambitious entertainer who is promoting the African culture on the big screen and on the radio, utilizing a shoe string budget cobbled together from her savings and with support from family and friends.

She said that the biggest challenge to her budding career if is the piracy of the music and videos by unscrupulous people who choose to copy the music instead of downloading it cheaply online.

"I hope my fellow Africans and friends out there can support me by downloading the music online or purchasing the DVD and CD from my office in Lowell," she told Ajabu Africa.

The DVD goes for $10, and the CD is $10 also. However, each song can be downloaded online via credit card for 99 cents ($0.99).

Buyers can also pick up the DVD or CD from Swaida's office located at 19 Mill Street, Lowell, MA or by reaching her on the phone at: 978-394-2149
