A human rights activist has accused the government of not doing enough to find two Kenyans who went missing in 2013.

US-based activist, Dr Isaac Newton Kinity, said the government has done too little to locate Mr Dickson Bogonko Bosire and Mr Albert Muriuki.

Dr Kinity who has visited the country said: "Those who were with them the day before they disappeared were never interrogated. Their movements and their whereabouts moments before they disappeared were not explored and were most likely not investigated," he said when he visited the Nation Centre on Friday.

Mr Bosire, was a blogger who ran a gossip site, Jackal News, before his mysterious disappearance in September 2013.

Mr Muriuki was a deputy director in charge of constitutional and legislative affairs at State House and was reported missing in December the same year.

The two are yet to be found despite the search the government said it had launched.

"I plead with human rights organisations and other patriotic Kenyans to support a bid for fresh investigations into the disappearance of the two," said Dr Kinity who is the founder of Kikimo Foundation for Corruption and Poverty Eradication.

Meanwhile, Dr Kinity said corruption is still rampant in Kenya despite the changes in the regimes.

"There is no leader who is willing to stamp out corruption. To get rid of the vice, we need someone who is courageous enough. Someone who is willing to take jail, even those close to him. At the moment, there is none," said Dr Kinity who went into exile in the 1990s.
