The body of murdered businessman Jacob Juma will be viewed at Uhuru Park, Nairobi, on Thursday ahead of his burial in Bungoma on Saturday. Juma wasshot deadby unknown people while driving past Lenana School last Thursday night, in what Cord leaders have said was a politically motivated murder. The 42-year-old had been vocal on political issues and often criticised the government. He openly supported Opposition leader Raila Odinga and criticised the Jubilee government whenever he felt it had wronged him. He had also claimed Jubilee used more thanSh250 billion of Eurobondmoney to refund all campaign cash allegedly used in the 2013 general election. Raila told a charged crowd of anti-IEBC protesters on Monday that Juma's murder was political. "Juma's death was not in vain. We will avenge him by removing Jubilee from power," he said. Juma was born in 1974 in Mugore Village in Bungoma County. He attended Mugore Primary School, Bungoma High School and later Kenya Polytechnic before plunging into business. But he once wrote on Twitter that he attended the University of Nairobi. | |||||||||
