A few weeks ago, photos of a ripped cop in an unbuttoned cardigan that revealed his muscular physique surfaced online.

Lustful women were smitten by the hunk of a cop and soon, he was the talk of town.

Heads Up caught up with the officer, whose identity we have established to be Steve Karisa aka 'Self Made.'

"I found out that I was trending through a friend. Someone had shared my photos and my number. I only had 54 friends on Facebook, but after the photos emerged, the number shot to thousands," Karisa, who is based at Shauri Moyo Police Station told Heads Up.

So, is he dating?

"Well, we had a misunderstanding with my 'former' girlfriend. We have been trying to work things out, though we are not in talking terms," he revealed.

We enquired about the relationship and why he was still posting her pictures.

"I took those photos months ago and I post them whenever I feel like. I'm actually the one pushing for reconciliation since she doesn't seem interested," he said.

He asked women not to hit on him and described himselfas a "snob."

"Right now, I just want to relax and see what the future holds. Maybe Melanie (the girlfriend) will come around," he said.

Karisa who has been hitting the gym for seven years says it is a very expensive habit.

"I pay Sh500 for every session. I have to also check my diet, which is very expensive," said Karisa, adding that he does not take alcohol or go clubbing.

He hails from Kakamega and disclosed that before joining the police, he was pursuing a journalism degree at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) but dropped out in 2012 due to lack of school fees.

"My dream is to make money and go back to school and finish my education," he said.

He said that being a cop requires a lot of sacrifice.
