Congolese Rumba maestro Koffi Olomide was on Friday captured on a video assaulting a female dancer when he arrived at the JKIA.
Olomide who is in Nairobi for Bomas of Kenya concert, was seen attacking the dancer even kicking her as police watched.
The female dancer is part of the six people who have accompanied him to Kenya for the concert.
According to reports, the dancer is said to have had an altercation Koffi's wife Cindy.
The musician was calmed down by police officers at the airport before he was shown to his car that immediately sped off.
His handlers said Kofi was angered by the attack on Cindy and overreacted. He has since apologised the woman.
The viral video angered social media users with Kenyans condemning the assault.
Moh Kimani said "Kofi Olomide kicked a woman in front of the glare of cameras & cops! Why did he not get handcuffed & whisked away for assault?".
"Wats the big deal if Liu Kang Olomide kicks his dancers? Ya'll wnt him arrested?For wat? Labda hata iyo ni dance move wanatizi na nyi hamjui," Clarence said.
